概述
雙球體橡膠接頭，主要利用橡膠獨有的性能，如高彈性、高氣密性、耐化學性和耐輻射性、高強度、強寒穩定性等斜交聚酯複合材料侯相，在高壓、高溫下模壓交聯而成，內部密度高，能承受高壓、高彈性變形的作用。
由氯丁橡膠和尼龍製成（其他材料可用，請參閱下表），球形允許壓力均勻地施加在各個方向上，從而減少施加在管道和設備上的力。斜交輪胎簾線具有強度高、安全係數高、移動力小等特性。精密成型可提供緻密、均勻的胎體。
雙球膨脹橡膠接頭由內膠層、增強多層塑膠刮板尼龍線繩、外膠層複合管組成。依介質不同所用橡膠材質不同，有天然橡膠、丁苯橡膠、丁基橡膠、丁腈橡膠、三元乙丙橡膠、氯丁橡膠、矽橡膠、氟橡膠等。分別具有耐熱、耐酸、耐鹼、耐腐蝕、耐磨、耐油等功能。
